Core Electric is in need of a skilled, experienced Machinist.We primarily repair motors and pumps of all shapes, sizes and ages.
A Machinist in our shop needs to be familiar with :
- Manual Engine Lathes
- TIG and MIG Welding (steel, stainless, titanium, aluminum, copper)
- Mechanics and parts within Motors + Pumps
- Blower Assemblies
- Gear Boxes
- Dynamically balancing rotating equipment
Our shop is located in Melvindale, MI, which is just south of Dearborn. We have about 12 other team members at that shop, with another 10 down in Toledo.
We've been in business almost 50 years now.This is a very stable position - we have a large, established customer base, and there's no seasonality to our work.
We can keep you busy all year.
This is a direct hire, full-time and long-term W2 role.The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm.All of the work is done in the shop - there is little to no field work expected of this role.
We're looking to pay about $26-32 / hour for this position.You'll be eligible for overtime after 40 hours per week, and double time after 60.

We do provide uniforms and laundering services for our team members.We also provide gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, etc.
The ideal candidate for this position has advanced technical abilities, able to use hand tools, power tools, and operate various kinds of machinery with a high degree of proficiency.
A background in Industrial Facilities Maintenance, Machine Repair, or other highly mechanical repair work could translate well to this role.
We will be expecting any candidates to be able to reasonably pass a criminal background check.
