Hospital Internal Medicine (HIM) is a growing NP / PA practice at Mayo Clinic Health System in NWWI. NP / PAs within the division of HIM are expected to practice at the highest level of their licensure and scope of practice with a significant amount of autonomy.
NP / PAs in HIM participate in all aspects of care of the hospitalized patient including admissions, discharges, daily rounds and patient education.
HIM NP / PA should be comfortable caring for complex and diverse patient population with a wide variety of acute / episodic medical problems.
24 / 7 coverage of hospitalist patients is provided by NP / PAs with additional compensation for evenings, nights, and weekends.
Ideal candidates for HIM NP / PA will have an extensive medical knowledge base, inpatient medical experience, and a continual desire to learn and grow as a healthcare provider.
