We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to join our team and drive the development and growth of our product portfolio.

Role Overview : As a Product Manager at DirectDefense, you will be responsible for translating product vision into actionable strategies.

You will work cross-functionally with design, development, sales, and customer success teams to deliver high-impact features and ensure product alignment with market needs.

You will also play a key role in defining product roadmaps, managing releases, and gathering customer feedback to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities : User Story & Acceptance Criteria Creation* Translate product requirements into detailed user stories, prioritizing the user experience and business value.

  • Define clear acceptance criteria to ensure development aligns with business goals and customer needs.* Collaborate with design, development, and QA teams to ensure stories are feasible, testable, and comprehensive.
  • Conduct user story mapping to visualize workflows and improve user interactions.Epic and Feature Definition, Prioritization, and Roadmap Management* Develop and document epics and product features that outline high-level objectives and key functionalities.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize features based on business impact, feasibility, and user feedback.* Maintain and communicate a comprehensive product roadmap to guide future product direction and development priorities.
  • Facilitate regular backlog grooming sessions to ensure alignment between roadmap priorities and development activities.

Release Management & Go-To-Market (GTM) Planning* Coordinate product releases, ensuring schedules align with business objectives and operational readiness.

  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and support teams to develop go-to-market strategies for product launches.* Oversee final product testing, documentation, and stakeholder training to ensure successful launches.
  • Conduct post-launch analyses to optimize future release processes and refine go-to-market strategies.Product Design & User Experience Collaboration* Partner with design teams to ensure wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications align with business requirements.
  • Facilitate user testing to gather feedback and refine product designs for enhanced user experience.Cross-Functional Enablement and Alignment* Conduct training sessions with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure they are well-equipped to support new features and products.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries across all departments.* Create and distribute training materials, FAQs, and product documentation to ensure alignment.

Collateral Development & Product Training* Develop product collateral such as feature briefs, white papers, and user guides.

Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional content and campaigns for product launches.* Deliver product training through webinars, presentations, and internal sessions to drive adoption and understanding.

Customer & Stakeholder Feedback Loop* Gather and analyze feedback from customers and stakeholders via surveys, interviews, and support channels.

Work with customer success and support teams to identify pain points and improvement opportunities.* Prioritize customer feedback to inform the product roadmap and future enhancements.

Service Description and Customer-Facing Documentation* Create comprehensive service descriptions and customer-facing documents that highlight product features, benefits, and use cases.

Collaborate with support teams to develop troubleshooting guides and best-practice documentation for customers.* Define and manage each stage of the product lifecycle from ideation to sunset.

Service Positioning and Differentiation* Develop clear service positioning that outlines product value, use cases, and differentiation in the marketplace.

Work closely with marketing to craft messaging that resonates with target audiences and keeps pace with industry trends.

Qualifications : * Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field.* 3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably within the cybersecurity industry.

  • Proven track record of managing product lifecycles, from ideation to launch.* Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.* Experience working cross-functionally with development, marketing, and sales teams.

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, DirectDefense provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.

For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 per year with a monthly and quarterly bonus.
