Cloud Engineer

The Opportunity :

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities.

On our team of experienced professionals, you'll use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions.

We're looking for someone like you to help evolve and maintain our IaC solutions for deploy secure infrastructure to ultimately allow and enable our customers to host production applications in the cloud.

You'll closely collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in Amazon and Azure to design, deploy, test and secure cloud solution components.

You'll have the chance to work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission.

With access to our internal training for all cloud platforms you'll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our clients' problems, and you'll partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions.

You Have :

  • 4+ years of experience working in AWS GovCloud at an enterprise level
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) best practices and how to layer mature solutions
  • Ability to decompose complex problems and use cases for external stakeholders and internal teams
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • DoD 8570 Certification

Nice If You Have :

  • Experience in enterprise level security, such as domains, dns, group policy objects, or single sign on
  • Experience with Big IP, F5, or Splunk at the enterprise level domain
  • Knowledge of Authority to Operate and DoD Cloud SRG requirements
  • AWS Certifications

Clearance :

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;

Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
