Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH is partnering with a non-profit organization in the downtown Seattle area to find a temporary to hire accounting professional for their team.

The main tasks for this Accounts Receivable Specialist will be posting payments, grant reporting, and updating accounts.

This position is a part-time commitment so if you are currently enrolled in an education program or if you have another commitment during the week, this could be a good fit for you if you are able to work around 20-24 hours in a week.

The manager is looking for someone who wants to learn and who is passionate about serving the community.

Main Tasks :

  • Generate and send out invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collections.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries related to invoicing and payments.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all accounts receivable transactions.
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Prepare and review aging reports regularly to identify and manage delinquent accounts.
  • Additional projects as requested.

Qualifications :

  • At least six months of professional work experience in an office setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage responsibilities effectively.
