Litigation Associate Attorney

Founded in 2000, the firm offers the legal expertise of 120+ attorneys, who have accumulated experience and problem-solving skills over decades of practice.
We are a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm and looking to increase its talented ranks of Litigation Attorneys by adding a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years to join our Lake Success Office.
Successful Candidate :
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic and organizational skills are essential for this position.
- Must have good oral communication skills and ability to communicate and be personable with clients, court staff, adversaries, and witnesses;
must be a true team player genuinely interested in working in a supportive, collaborative environment.
- Candidate should have experience in all phases of litigation including but not limited to drafting litigation documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery demands, taking depositions, conducting research, and appearing in Court.
- Candidate should also ideally have experience in litigations involving employment and labor law, general civil, and commercial litigation.
- The associate attorney should be able to write and draft papers, handle document discovery in all aspects, prepare discovery demands and responses, notices of all kinds, subpoenas, work up a case, interact with a client, and ascertain the documents needed to be obtained (medical records, etc.) and obtain them.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in New York.
- Benefit is also licensed to practice in New Jersey.
- 2-4 years of experience in Litigation.
- Must be detail and deadline-oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and prioritize work tasks in an effective manner.
- Strong oral and written advocacy skills. A writing sample will be requested prior to any interview.
- Comfortable working with all levels of business professionals, including senior management and all colleagues in other departments in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
COMPENSATION :
- $110,000 annual salary
