We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our client's growing team as the Director of Strategic Sourcing, focusing on IT and Professional Services categories (including but not limited to IT, Legal, Tax, and Audit services ).
This role will be instrumental in developing and executing sourcing strategies that optimize our procurement processes, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure high-quality service delivery across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Development :
- Lead the strategic sourcing initiatives for IT and Professional Services, aligning sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
- Conduct market analysis and research to identify trends and opportunities within the IT and professional services sectors.
Supplier Management :
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders to ensure service delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Cost Optimization :
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining service quality.
- Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for consolidation and enhanced purchasing power.
Risk Management :
- Identify and assess risks associated with supplier relationships and market dynamics, developing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities.
Team Leadership :
- Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance on best practices in sourcing and procurement methodologies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments (IT, Finance, Legal, etc.) to align sourcing strategies with organizational needs.
- Facilitate communication and ensure transparency in sourcing processes and decisions.
Performance Measurement :
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and supplier performance.
- Report on sourcing activities and outcomes to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications : Education :
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience :
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on IT and professional services categories.
- Proven track record of leading complex sourcing projects and negotiations.
Skills :
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of contract management and legal frameworks related to IT and professional services procurement.
