Job Title : Sr. Scientist I, Analytical Development

Job Description

Join a clinical-stage precision oncology company dedicated to developing innovative targeted therapies aimed at inhibiting frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. As a Sr. Scientist I in Analytical Development, you will manage analytical development and testing activities conducted at contract organizations, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee analytical development and testing activities at contract organizations, including method development, method qualification / validation, and release / stability testing.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for analytical methods, ensuring outsourced activities meet quality standards and project timelines.
  • Review and interpret data from method validations, release testing, and characterization studies for drug substances and products.
  • Prepare, review, and approve protocols, reports, and regulatory submission documents such as IND, NDA / MAA, and IMPD.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, and external partners to ensure analytical alignment with project goals and regulatory expectations.

Essential Skills

  • PhD in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, or MS with 8+ years of experience in analytical development.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques including HPLC / UPLC, LC-MS, XRPD, dissolution testing, DSC, DVS, and compendial methods like USP / EP.
  • Understanding of ICH guidelines such as Q2, Q6A, Q3A,B,C,D, M7, and FDA / EMA regulatory expectations.
  • Experience in phase-appropriate analytical development.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear documentation.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract position based out of Redwood City, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.00 / hr.
