Job Title : Staff Electric Motor Manufacturing Engineer
Salary Range : $225,000.00 - $247,500.00 per year
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development of the high-volume Electric Motor and Inverter production system, including the overall layout of the production cells and new manufacturing facility.
- Drive the Design for Manufacturability efforts with the product design team.
- Apply expert level knowledge of electric motors, inverters and manufacturing process to collaborate and influence our multidisciplinary Product Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Facilities teams in the development of a new Electric Motor and Inverter for an eVTOL aircraft.
- Develop the manufacturing Build Plan (line layout, manufacturing methods, part flow, tools, equipment, precedence network, etc.
and determine an appropriate MBOM.
- Implement process control parameters and strategies to ensure process capability.
- Develop efficient manufacturing processes.
- Support first unit builds and testing of the production system.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT : Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT : Manufacturing Engineer or related occupational title in which 4 years of experience in electromechanical, aerospace and mass production, including experience with determining optimal manufacturing and material solutions for electric engines;
- performing D-FMEA and P-FMEA analysis on electric motor designs, planning of mid to high volume electric motor production lines;
leading the procurement of production equipment; mentoring Junior engineers and production team was gained.
- ALTERNATE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT : Manufacturing Engineer or related occupational title in which 6 years of experience in electromechanical and mass production, including experience with determining optimal manufacturing and material solutions for electric engines;
- performing D-FMEA and P-FMEA analysis on electric motor designs, planning of mid to high volume electric motor production lines;
leading the procurement of production equipment; and mentoring Junior engineers and production team was gained. 4 years of experience in the aerospace field.
Concurrent experience is acceptable.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT : 10% Domestic and International Travel.
