Senior Professional Engineer (P.E.) Mid Atlantic Region
Overview : We are looking for a skilled Professional Engineer (P.E.) with active licenses in both Virginia and Maryland.
The ideal candidate will bring at least eight years of experience in Civil (Structural), Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
This role focuses on supporting dual offshore wind development projects across Virginia and Maryland.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Management : Lead large-scale offshore wind projects from design through to completion, ensuring quality and compliance as the subject matter expert.
- Technical Oversight : Manage technical work packages including wind turbine generator (WTG) supply and service agreements, and both onshore and offshore package agreements.
- Design and Quality Assurance : Review design documents, reports, and calculations in detail. Offer technical guidance for improvements and optimizations.
Oversee equipment fabrication and construction quality, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
Stakeholder Coordination : Work with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Produce clear, high-quality engineering reports while meeting budget and timeline requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience, preferably in offshore wind projects within the renewable energy sector.
- Active P.E. licenses in Virginia and Maryland. Must not be the Managing Agent or responsible charge engineer for another business.
- Proficiency in engineering design software, with a strong grasp of industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and a structured working approach, combined with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a dedication to high-quality work and the ability to support multiple teams and adapt to various tasks.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, while maintaining a broad, high-level perspective.
