Your Mission
Responsible for achieving corporate equipment sales goals. Create sales customers and works with the company to develop new opportunities.
Evaluate franchisee / corporate stores for appropriate equipment, installation requirements; ascertain equipment inventory and oversee the total management of domestic or international equipment.
Develop policies and procedures that support local and international requirements. Manage the Equipment Sales staff. This position will work autonomously and, as necessary, travel domestically and internationally.
How You’ll Make an Impact :
- Achieve corporate sales goals, established by Equipment Director, through selling to all Ilitch family companies and creating sales opportunities with domestic and international franchisees.
- Establish relationships with franchisees, shipping and transportation departments, finance and external vendors and transporters.
- Manage the Project Sales Coordinators, including hiring, establishing goals, performance management, development and coaching,
- Develop equipment warranty programs including language, repair and replacement procedures, legal requirements and warranty training.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics and equipment technical materials. Design equipment layout for customer locations through North America, Mexico, Canada and any future international locations.
- Recommend areas of potential cost reduction opportunities that includes equipment standardization, standardized / alternative equipment documents, sales documentation and methods of transportation.
- Develop and document department policies and procedures. Ensure that policies and procedures comply with local or international regulations.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to develop, complete and maintain local and international export codes.
- Assist in the financial planning through the annual budget process, makes recommendations on budgetary items and capital expenditures.
Who You Are :
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with store or restaurant equipment, sales, warranties, sales contracts, inventory control, financial processes and Information Technology software (IDS).
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience that includes establishing goals and expectations, coaching, development and performance management.
- Knowledge of store operations, new franchisee opportunities, local and international export codes or other regulatory developments.
- Evidence of ability to comprehend and analyze complex data, evaluate options and make sound business decisions and ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of foreign or domestic audiences.
- Proven project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical information, read blueprints and evaluate and understand store layouts.
- Proven collaboration, relationship-building and negotiation capabilities.
- Previous history of developing effective cost efficiencies, including standardized equipment, processes, contracts and documents.
- Proven history of developing a successful equipment sales business plan, including budget recommendations, marketing, sales projections and evaluation of new equipment customers and new sales opportunities.
- Evidence of successful collaboration with other departments (Purchasing, Transportation, Finance, etc.) and other Ilitch company entities.
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated computer proficiencies (i.e. Microsoft Office, Internet, IDS, inventory control software)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
- Bilingual language skills
- International sales and export experience
Where You’ll Work :
- Works in an office environment with up to 25% of time in a warehouse environment.
- Possess and maintain valid travel documents (passport) via a variety of transportation modes and adhere to corporate travel policies.
- Travel up to 30% for international equipment sales or projects and 15% of time for domestic sales / projects.
- Exposure to various customer locations which could involve climbing, stooping, crawling and roof-top work in an effort to assist customer locations with equipment related issues.
