Our client, a premier Food Manufacturing Company with products sold nationwide is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager .

The right candidate will be responsible for managing all resources relating to quality. This would include development, implementation and all programs that would improve the quality of the product, safety, technology and others.

Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).

Responsibilities

  • Direct a QA staff & facility, enforce & set company standards and procedures.
  • Guarantee compliance is met with Federal, State, local regulators & Audit Certifications.
  • Supervise, impose and further increase an existing HACCP program, GMPs, SOPs, safety and sanitation.
  • Conduct daily inspections and audits of the production facility.
  • Address quality issues and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
  • Act as the key contact to SQF practitioner, OSHA and for all plant manufacturing practices & maintenance.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure the plant can deliver products that meet company’s high quality and food safety standards.
  • Maintain all documented procedures, develop & facilitate safety training programs, documentation for food / allergy safety, & product recalls.
  • Coordinate & keep proper records for all testing, audits, specifications, production and others.

Requirements :

  • BS. Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science degree or related degree.
  • 5+ Years Quality Assurance experience in a Food Production Manufacturing plant.
  • 2 + Years of supervisory / management experience with excellent communication skills.
  • Must have prior experience working in a QA Lab for a Food Manufacturing plant.
  • Strong understanding of Food Safety and State regulations.
  • Work experience with (GMP) Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • HACCP, SQF Certification & training (Safety Quality Food Program)
  • Strong PC skills such as use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and other Food Safety guidelines.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the USA without the need for a visa sponsorship now or in the future.
