Apps Development Tech Lead Analyst - VP

This position is with the Product and Analytics group, part of the Enterprise Excellence organization.

The Enterprise Excellence (EE) team is a group within the Operations and Technology (O&T) that designs solutions to enhance transparency;

empowers Operations and Functions to improve processes; and evolves the organization through continuous improvement and simplification.

The organization is responsible for defining, deploying, and driving alignment and progress against a firm-wide framework that reduces operational risk, standardizes workforce optimization, and improves process health.

The Senior Developer will play a key role in designing and developing solutions to support the data management, quality assurance, process mining and data analytics initiatives within the Product & Analytics group.

They will work closely with Operations, Technology, Transformation, and Risk & Controls groups across all sectors of the bank to achieve tangible results aligned to the firms strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities include :

Analyzing and translating the business requirements to design and develop robust and scalable solutions. This includes aspects such as conceptualizing & developing the data models, the data transformations, data quality framework etc.

for high complexity use cases.

• Designing and development of PL / SQL and Python based software from ground-up.
• Writing complex stored procedures (PL / SQL) to implement the business logic, along with enhancing & debugging the existing database code- with focus on automation, efficiency, and error handling.

Query performance tuning, database tuning involving complex PL / SQL code, tables, materialized views etc.

• Python development leveraging the various libraries- as required.
• Knowledge & Experience in Big Data technologies, AI / ML, Generative AI is a plus.
• Monitoring and controlling all phases of development process- analysis, design, development and testing as well as providing support to the business users.
• Ensuring essential procedures and best practices are followed along with due documentation- to help achieve higher operating standards & processes.
• Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision- exercising independent judgement, autonomy & proactivity.
• Provides the SME support to senior stakeholders & team members, while a mentor to the junior analysts.
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Qualifications :
• Extensive hands-on experience with data modeling, database design and architecture.
• Experience with Oracle database PL / SQL & ideally backed by DBA experience to enable handling very large datasets efficiently.
• Strong proficiency in Python and good experience with shell scripting is also required.
• Experience with big data technologies (HDFS, Impala, Hive, pySpark etc.) is a big plus.
• Exposure and interest in futuristic technology, Gen-AI / ML is also a plus.

Education :

• Bachelors degree / University degree in computer science / IT is required.
• Masters degree preferred.
