Position Overview :
The Respiratory Care Practitioner performs the activities of an RCP in both therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and / or illness.
The RCP must also be proficient in ABG sampling and analysis, and EKG performance.

EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Associate's : Accredited Respiratory Program or equivalent education / experience.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner
RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider within 1 1 / 2 Yrs of hire
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN
Prior clinical experience is preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to perform all aspects of both Respiratory Therapy and EKG procedures as outlined in the position description.
Ability to efficiently use and troubleshoot diverse equipment necessary for job performance.
Able to assess, evaluate, and treat patients based on age or other functional limitations.
Assumes personal responsibility for professional development.
Ability and confidence to work independently and act as a resource on behalf of the Cardio-Pulmonary Department.
Ability to perform patient assessment and develop goals and educational plan for appropriate patient care.

Pay Range is $52.99 to $66.54 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
