Description
We are seeking a driven and skilled Civil Engineer withexperience in both transportation and public works to join ourdynamic team.
As a Civil Project Engineer you will coordinatedesign and manage projects that shape our transportation landscapeand improve our community's infrastructure.
About thejob :
The functional areas andresponsibilities of a Civil ProjectEngineer are as follows :
- Design and develop a variety oftransportation and public works infrastructure projects includingroads highways intersections drainage systems sidewalks and otherpublic facilities.
- Perform complexgeometric design calculations for horizontal and verticalalignments.
- Prepare detailedconstruction documents including plans specifications and costestimates.
- Coordinate closely withutility providers to identify and resolve potential conflictsduring design and construction.
- Update and maintain asbuilt records and mappings to accuratelyreflect project outcomes.
- Collaboratewith architects surveyors other engineers and public stakeholdersto ensure projects meet community needs and align with a broadervision.
- Manage project budgetsschedules and timelines ensuring ontime and onbudgetdelivery.
- Supervise certainconstruction activities to ensure compliance with plansspecifications and applicable codes.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from government agencies andpublic utility providers.
- Stay up todate on the latest engineering standards materials and technologiesin both transportation and public works sectors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABETaccredited university.
- ProfessionalEngineer (PE) license in Arizona.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation projectengineering and / or public works projects.
- Expertlevel proficiency in geometric designprinciples and software.
- Strongunderstanding of drainage stormwater management and utilityinfrastructure.
- Knowledge ofconstruction methods and materials for various projecttypes.
- Excellent analyticalproblemsolving and project management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate withtechnical staff project stakeholders and thepublic.
