Job Description

General Responsibilities
- Handle food and beverage safely to prevent foodborne illnesses.
- Utilize in-house standards to increase customer satisfaction and team efficiency.
- Deliver orders to guests and bus tables efficiently.
- Provide drink refills and table service to ensure uninterrupted meals.
- Maintain cleanliness of the lobby, restrooms, patio, tables, bar, and expo area.
- Deliver and explain complimentary pita bread to every dine-in guest.
- Ensure food meets brand standards for taste, temperature, aesthetic, and portion.
- Fulfill orders for guests in a timely manner by prioritizing tasks.
- Provide exemplary customer service at the ordering counter.
- Greet guests with "Welcome to Meddys" and bid farewell to departing guests.
- Promote a culture of excellence and growth.
- Make exceptions for guests when necessary.
- Hold yourself and coworkers accountable with integrity.
- Perform cash and credit sales accurately.
- Stay aware of surroundings to keep coworkers safe.
- Keep managers informed of important information.
- Fulfill assigned shift responsibilities and assist others when needed.
- If bartending, serve in accordance with Alcoholic Beverage Control Guidelines.
Responsibilities Specific to This Role
- Introduce trainees to the team and ensure they have necessary training materials.
- Demonstrate proper methods for practical tasks and supervise trainees.
- Delegate tasks to ensure all employees are focused on their duties.
- Perform closing duties and secure the restaurant after hours.
- Monitor labor percentages and act on trends to minimize costs.
- Read reviews and reach out to guests to resolve service issues.
- Prevent misreporting of clock times for fair compensation.
- Treat all employees equally according to EEOC and ADA guidelines.
- Ensure End of Day Deposit is submitted accurately.
- Audit credit card bar tips and corresponding receipts.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Able to consistently work 40 hours a week.
- Available to work weekends.
- Maintain reliable transportation to all store locations if necessary.
- Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Able to work on your feet for 10-hour shifts.
- Customer service experience required.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Desired
- Leadership and supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Laws.
- Two or more years of customer service experience.
- Higher education, certifications, or degree.
- Aloha POS system experience.
