The customer care specialist will bridge the gap between what our customers need and what we're delivering - helping us to not only meet but also exceed their expectations.

The ideal candidate is dedicated to going above and beyond for a customer, leaving no stone unturned in the quest to solve their challenges and make them feel valued.

The Customer Service Specialist will interact with the company's customers by greeting customers as they enter the establishment, addressing inquiries, providing current specials and suggestive selling, resolving complaints, generally providing a higher level of customer support on a specific product or service.

Objectives of this role

Drive a seamless customer experience that creates positive sentiment for our brand.

Develop in-depth knowledge of our offerings and provide informative support and tailored recommendations to customers.

Collaborate with the team to drive constant improvement.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and steps taken to resolve issues.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Interacts and engages with customers in person to provide support and information on an assigned product or service.
  • Help ensure a safe and positive shopping experience for customers at all points.
  • Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers' problems and concerns while on the sales floor.
  • Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
  • Uses knowledge of a specific product, service, or other assigned area of expertise to answer inquiries or to forward to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains crowd control and monitors customer entry at the facility.
  • Monitors and greets customers at point of entry and patrols store perimeter periodically throughout scheduled shift.
  • Secure customers' point of entry at closing.
  • Monitor and identify potential safety hazards throughout the facility.
  • Share relevant customer feedback to help us improve our offerings.
  • Maintain safety and security measures to protect employees and company's assets.
  • Help prevent and combat instances of theft, fraud, and vandalism to protect the company's bottom line.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Strong verbal and communication skills including active listening.
  • Friendly and empathetic demeanor.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability, backed by good judgment.
  • Ability to respond to customer questions.
  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, product, service, or area of customer service specialization.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Education and Experience :

  • Customer service experience required.
  • Some experience with the product or service to which the specialist will be assigned preferred.
  • Experience observing customer, associate behavior and deterrent to illicit activity.

Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
