About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $2683 To $2981 Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Clinical Services - Surgery Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8hr Day Shift Guaranteed Hours : Experience : 2 years in acute care License : Active IL RN license Certifications : BLS Must-Have : Ability to scrub- EPIC experience- Level 2 trauma experience Job Description : Work in a unit with 28 beds, handling approximately 60-75 cases per day.
- Care for a variety of patients including outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases such as GSW, stabbings, and transplants (kidney and hearts).
- Handle general, gynecology, urology, robotic, vascular, orthopedics, neurology, and open heart surgeries.- Manage 20% pediatric cases including open heart surgeries, appendectomies (appy), and cholecystectomies (choley).
- Participate in donor and Gifts of Hope cases.- Support includes a charge nurse without patient assignments during weekdays, available on weekends and evenings.
- Bedside monitoring performed by an anesthesiologist.- Receive assistance from resource nurses, surgeons with preference cards, educators, and service line representatives.
- Chart patient information using EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis systems.- Scrubs provided for surgical procedures.- Orientation includes an introduction to educators and the Assistant Nurse Manager, login access, online modules, and EPIC training over three days.
