Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer / tractor equipment at our Martin Brower facility in Walker, LA

Shift : Full-Time l Wednesday - Saturday 5 : 30PM-4 : 00AM

Pay : $25.00 - 28.00 / hr, depending upon experience and skill level

Position Responsibilities :

• The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed
• As the Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance
• You will inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and make sure that equipment has required licensing and registration
• You will use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
• You will examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience :

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
• Must have a valid Driver's License to operate applicable company vehicles
• Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)

Preferred Education and Experience :

Technical School Certification
