We are seeking a System Engineer to join our automotive LiDAR engineering team, working with leading OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to define, integrate, and validate LiDAR systems for next-generation ADAS and autonomous driving applications.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical understanding of perception systems, vehicle architecture, and automotive development processes.

Note : This is a role for experienced automotive system engineers. Please do not apply if you lack hands-on experience with ADAS or Tier 1–to–OEM system integration projects. We value professionals who can translate complex requirements into robust, production-ready system designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage system-level requirements for LiDAR integration into vehicle platforms (interfaces, power, communication, safety).
  • Serve as the technical bridge between OEM / Tier 1 customers and internal teams (hardware, software, mechanical, optical).
  • Lead system design reviews, DFMEA, and validation planning to ensure compliance with automotive standards.
  • Support integration testing, calibration, and performance verification at both bench and vehicle levels.
  • Analyze test data, identify root causes, and drive issue resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Contribute to system documentation, architecture diagrams, and interface specifications.
  • Support customer discussions and design changes throughout development and validation phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive system engineering, ideally with exposure to ADAS, LiDAR, radar, or camera systems.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle network communication (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and system diagnostics (UDS, DoIP).
  • Familiar with automotive development processes (ASPICE, ISO 26262, APQP, PPAP).
  • Proven experience collaborating with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers on hardware / software integration and validation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus for coordination with global teams.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of perception systems, ECU interfaces, and sensor fusion architectures.
  • Experience in automotive E / E architecture and system-level debugging.
  • Familiar with functional safety and cybersecurity concepts (ASIL, ISO / SAE 21434).
  • Hands-on experience with system simulation, requirement tools (DOORS, Polarion), or 3D modeling tools.
  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary starting from $110,000 annually, with performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including :
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Paid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays).
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • Employee wellness and learning programs.
  • Career growth opportunities in a fast-growing global automotive technology company.
  • Seniority level : Mid-Senior level. Employment type : Full-time. Job function : Information Technology. Industries : Automation Machinery Manufacturing.
