About The Position
Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Job Specialty : Central Sterile Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Monday-Friday (8 : 00 PM - 4 : 30 AM) with rotating weekends, holidays as needed, and on-call as required Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2 years required License : Not specified Certifications : CRCST or CSPDT Must-Have : - Willingness to care for COVID-19 patients- Ability to float as needed- Full COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption for medical / religious reasons Job Description : Demonstrate competence in all aspects of sterile processing, including decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of sterile medical devices according to industry standards.
- Select and assemble surgical instrument sets for scheduled surgeries.- Collect, sort, decontaminate, sterilize, and store instruments after use.
- Perform duties related to the ordering, inventory, and issuing of supplies.- Assist with the care and maintenance of department instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Work in a nicotine-free environment.- Must not have had a license suspension anytime in the past.- Willingness to obtain a flu vaccine between September 7 and April 30.
Candidates should note that those who have been employed as permanent hires at any related sites within the past year cannot be considered.
