Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Level 5) to support the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) team in Hazelwood, MO .

This position will be responsible for helping drive the program systems engineering effort and be a key leader on the team tasked with owning overall system definition and functional design. Key aspects of this work include leading functional / behavioral decompositions, requirements, interfaces, CONOPS, and system parametrics, and then working across the program engineering teams to link them all together in the MBSE tool suite.

Position Responsibilities

• Leadthe development of system functions, requirements, architectures, and allocations to hardware, software, and personnel components in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) context.
• Lead the coordination efforts between a range of engineering disciplines to define system functions and requirements related to system development and lifecycle engineering.
• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
• Evaluate customer / operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
• Mentor early-career engineers and act as a technical lead engineer.
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues.
• Interface with safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialty engineering groups to ensure a well-balanced system design early in the lifecycle.
• Managethe development of systems engineering material such as System Concept of Operations, System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements, Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Plan, design, and develop lifecycle balanced system solutions for a highly complex system; allocate performance budgets and analyze system performance.
• Utilize understanding ofengineering processes to collaborate with Program Management and Engineering functions to support Customer needs.
• Develop the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessmentprocesses.
• Lead analyses and trade study activities to optimize total system definition and architecture.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and / or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Typical Education & Experience

Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.Summary pay range : $147,050 $198,950
