Position Overview
Industrial Engineer is responsible to maintain routing operations in the ERP system and part revision updates, review the accuracy of the bill of materials and the part list data.
Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
Areas of Focus
Industrial Engineer develops manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and maintaining routing operations of all product types in the ERP system.
- Responsible for the maintenance of part list / Item master revision updates.
- Perform time study to determine manufacturing process, staff requirements and production standards
- Audit work standards (time and method) for variance making such corrective recommendations as necessary
- Review accuracy of Bills of Material and item master data in ERP system.
- Analyze work methods, manufacturing processes and non-productive materials and recommend changes that will reduce operational costs.
- Develop budget work standards, machine capacity tables, manning tables, manpower requirements, and non-productive material usage standards for new model programs, etc.
and revisions in production schedules
- Responsible for reviewing, developing and monitoring process work flows, focusing on line balancing for all production lines, with the objective to improve labor efficiencies, reduce scrap and improve product quality
- Lead, manage, and monitor projects involving new part number and revisions set-up for all part type and cost improvement.
- Follows quality system procedures
- Other responsibilities that will be assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3 years in time / motion studies and setting job rates in a manufacturing plant
- Detailed Oriented
- Analytical skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word, Excel and Visio
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in ERP system, Plex
- Lean Certified
- Bilingual Spanish
- Battery Industry
