Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • ARRT
  • State Radiology License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA

    • Skills & Responsibilities

  • Perform PET / CT, SPECT / CT, and nuclear medicine exams with precision, following established protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including the GE Omni Legend PET / CT scanner, always ensuring functionality and safety.
  • Administer radio pharmaceuticals and contrast agents safely, adhering to NYS DOH and institutional guidelines.
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to accurately position patients and interpret imaging requirements.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, using effective communication and compassionate care.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols and best practices to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other technologists to deliver timely and accurate diagnostic imaging.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records, including patient information, procedure logs, and imaging reports.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with imaging equipment and coordinate service or repairs as needed.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced imaging environment, maintaining professionalism, flexibility, and a strong attention to detail.
