Job Description Project Manager
Responsibilities
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments and progress
- Track items that are additional in scope and develop project change orders
- Manage contracts with third party vendors
- Monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Use KPI’s to monitor project performance and identify areas of improvement
- Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
- Delegate project tasks to employees who are best positioned to complete them
- Serve as a point of contact for both customer and project teams
- Perform quality control on project throughout all project stages
- Assist with proposal development and scope clarifications during proposal process
- Travel to and work with on-site teams as required
- Work with project controller to prepare budget based on scope of work and schedule requirements and to ensure project financials are met
- Perform Engineering and Field Services teams on technical works as needed.
- Support Sales team on customer site visit, and customer sales meeting.
Skills & Knowledge
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Profound English written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of construction environments, specifically electrical engineering and maintenance / commissioning services
- Knowledge of low, medium, and high voltage power systems
- Excellent decision making and negotiation skills
- A thorough understanding of project processes including budget, cost, trending, forecasting, planning, and scheduling
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management
- Familiarity with risk management
- Reliable, motivated, and self-managed with the ability to work under limited supervision
- Ability to manage indirect employees
Qualifications and Experience
- 5-7 Years’ experience of related experience, including engineering, management, and / or business administration.
- PMP Certification is preferred.
- BSEE is preferred.
- Must be able to legally work in the US
- Ability to travel for company meetings and to various job sites up to 30%
