Responsibilities of the Tax Manager
- Complete federal, international, and state income tax returns, including all related analysis and support.
- Manage use and property tax functions.
- Oversee audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings.
- Handle accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) for U.S. and international subsidiaries.
- Manage transfer pricing and management fee arrangements.
- Collaborate with international subsidiaries on global tax compliance processes.
- Supervise professional staff.
- Act as a liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues.
- Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes.
- Serve as the departmental liaison with IT staff on all technical matters relating to tax applications.
- Assist the executive management team with corporate tax planning issues as required.
- Support the Corporate Controller in estimating and monitoring annual cash taxes.
- Assist with global M&A activities (structuring, diligence, etc.).
Preferred Requirements of the Tax Manager
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Accounting. A Master's Degree in Business Taxation is preferred.
- 5+ years of related tax experience, with a preference for both industry and public accounting experience.
- Demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment.
- International tax experience is required.
