Department Summary
The Computer Science Department strives for excellence in creating, applying, and imparting knowledge in computer science and engineering through comprehensive educational programs, research in collaboration with industry and government, dissemination through scholarly publications, and service to professional societies, the community, the state, and the nation.
Position Summary
This is a specialized position working with one of Computer Science's professors.
Salary & Compensation
UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
Salary offers at the top of the range are not common.
Qualifications
- Previous published papers in the field of theoretical computer science. (Preferred)
- Considerable experience in formulating mathematical proofs (Required)
- Working knowledge of LaTeX program (Required)
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form. Must be able to give oral presentation of research (Required)
- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision. (Required)
- Must be able to communicate with supervisor for status updates, attendance, etc. (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Required)
