Technical Program Manager

An exciting Technical Program Manager position has just become available. This position will sit within our client's Space division, which is responsible for the development of unique space-borne sensing systems and the overall space mission, from architecture through implementation.

The data being collected will be integrated seamlessly into our client's existing forecasting and modelling systems and will revolutionise global weather forecasting and insights.

The Technical Program Manager will play a critical role in the execution of complex, multidisciplinary hardware and software development programs.

You would work within the program management office, and manage and coordinate tasks and priorities across multiple organisations and team members, shepherding development from the R&D stages through operational deployment.

Responsibilities :

• Program and project leadership
• Drive day-to-day execution of the program(s)
• Program management and program planning
• Plan and coordinate the resources necessary to execute the program and projects
• Establish and maintain regular business rhythm, action tracking, and consolidate information for effective decision making
• Work with program and engineering leadership to identify and resolve technical issues
• Maintain and routinely report performance on schedule, resources, cost, risks, and technical performance metrics
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Over 3 years of experience in program management or project engineering within the space and / or aviation sector
• Experience working with complex systems involving multi-disciplinary technical teams with coupled hardware and software development for space and / or aircraft applications
• Expertise in schedule and program tracking tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills
• Experience in vendor and contract management
• Effectiveness working with stakeholders across the breadth of an organisation
• Have delivered complex systems or subsystems previously in a leadership or management role (desired)
• Experience specifically within a spacecraft payload or subsystem development program (desired)
• Experience working in a startup environment (desired)
