As the Director of Digital Engineering , you’ll spearhead a team that brings our digital vision to life, ensuring that our solutions are both innovative and reliable .

What You’ll Do :
- Lead and inspire engineering teams to create scalable, reliable solutions across a portfolio of digital, mobile, retail, marketing, and social technologies.
- Collaborate with product owners to align engineering efforts with business goals, ensuring our digital platforms are positioned for both immediate and long-term success.
- Drive innovation by fostering an environment where testing, learning, and continuous improvement are core to the engineering process.
- Lead hands-on development using C# / ASP.NET / SQL / VUE to ensure high-quality, robust solutions are delivered across all platforms.
- Build a dynamic team , balancing in-house talent with contract and offshore resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
What You’ll Need :
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience leading teams in developing and maintaining complex eCommerce and consumer web products.
- Expertise in C# / ASP.NET / SQL / VUE, as well as B2B, B2C, eCommerce, and Marketing platforms .
- Proven success in managing multi-site, multi-product engineering teams, including offshore resources.
- Strong leadership skills , with a deep understanding of modern platform architectures, coding best practices, and emerging technologies.
This role is based in Grinnell, Iowa, but offers HYBRID work arrangements (2-3 days / month in office) , allowing you the flexibility to thrive in a supportive community while maintaining a connection to our outdoor adventure culture .
The salary range is from $140-165K , reflecting the high impact and responsibility of this role.
