Overview

Allied Universal is hiring a Full-time Security Custom Protection Officer (Flex) for the Sioux Falls, SD area. This role may involve armed and / or unarmed patrols, access control, and monitoring CCTV and alarm systems. The officer will work at various assignments and may be asked to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice.

Job Details

  • Role : Security Custom Protection Officer - Flex
  • Pay Rate : $22.00 / hour
  • Schedule : Must be able to work all shifts (flexibility is required)
  • Location : Sioux Falls, SD area
  • Employment Type : Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or by vehicle
  • Monitor CCTV and access control systems; watch for irregular or unusual conditions
  • Sound alarms or call police / fire department as needed
  • Warn violators and control entry / exit; verify authorized personnel and property removals
  • Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs as required
  • Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders
  • Provide recommendations for productivity, cost reduction, and physical security surveys
  • Respond to and document emergencies and security concerns

    • Qualifications (must have)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more of the following : military police / security background, certified safety academy graduate, bachelor's degree in law enforcement / criminal justice, 8+ years of military service, or associate's degree (60+ credits) in law enforcement / criminal justice with active military service
  • At least 18 years old (21 for armed roles, if required by state)
  • Licensing requirements as dictated by state / local laws; valid driver's license for driving positions
  • Ability to operate radio / console equipment; strong public interaction skills
  • Strong problem-solving, listening, communication, and writing abilities
  • Ability to observe, assess, and respond to security situations quickly
  • Attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team
