Job Summary :

The Restaurant General Manager role requires a strong balance between independent thinking and the ability to follow established procedures and directives.

Candidates should have prior experience as a Manager with knowledge of FOH and BOH (or equivalent experience) and must demonstrate proficiency in applying operational standards.

The General Manager is responsible for employee development and aligning actions with the company’s vision, acting in a manner that enhances the company’s image, ethics, and professionalism.

This role involves collaborating with the Leadership Team and Support Center on administrative and accounting matters, and providing training and guidance for trainees assigned to the restaurant.

Compensation :

$75,000-78,000 base with guaranteed $10K bonus first year and potential for up to $10K more.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Plan for the restaurant’s future business needs.

Direct and supervise daily restaurant operations.

Consistently enforce food, service, and housekeeping standards.

Ensure full implementation of the established plate presentation program.

Support corporate marketing and right-selling programs through training and monitoring, providing feedback, and taking action to improve compliance.

Respond promptly to customer feedback and communicate both positive and negative comments to the team.

Conduct weekly staff meetings and monthly safety committee meetings.

Maintain safety, security, building maintenance, housekeeping, and sanitation standards, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations.

Follow established administrative and cash handling procedures, reporting any variances.

Provide a managing presence during peak periods on the floor, on the line, or at the pass-out window.

Work a minimum of five days and forty hours per week.

Meet adjusted net profit goals and work towards sales and profit growth.

Identify and implement profit optimization programs and operational efficiencies.

Assist in the development and implementation of strategic marketing and operational plans.

Help create the core menu and develop store-specific menu specials.

Coordinate market and guest research when required.

Lead community involvement efforts and strengthen relationships with local entities to build a positive long-term image.

Suggest new food items and combinations for the menu.

Qualifications : SERV Safe certified

SERV Safe certified

Excellent coaching and training skills

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook)

Strong organizational and decision-making skills

Knowledge of P&L in relation to labor and food costs

Basic math and volume measurement knowledge for recipe conversions

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently

Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods

Exceptional hygiene and grooming habits

Willing to commute up to 40 miles
