Assist director in overseeing graduate academic advising functions including : hiring, training, and managing graduate academic advisors;

developing graduate office policies and procedures; maintaining effective working relations with internal and external departments.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in related field and three plus years relevant professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Master's degree in related field and five plus years in relevant professional experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee graduate advising processes
  • Supervise graduate academic advisors
  • Assist in developing and implementing necessary procedures
  • Liaison between graduate advisors and pertinent University departments
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures

Additional Information

Remote Work Notice

A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employee must be located within the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and / or with 24-hour notice.

Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required.

Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
