job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssess patients through interviews, observations, tests, and medical history reviews. Develop comprehensive treatment plans and prescribe medication as needed. Consult with other medical professionals and psychologists. Regularly follow up with the patient to check progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed. Thoroughly document each patient's diagnosis, symptoms, medication and treatment effectiveness. Provide patients with emotional support and strategies to help manage their disorder. Research new developments in psychiatry and mental health. M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited United States medical school. Four years of psychiatric residency. Board of Psychiatry certification (ABPN) and State medical license. Current Federal DEA license.
