GROUNDSKEEPER (CORRECTIONAL FACILITY)

Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades, the Groundskeeper is responsible for gardening and general grounds maintenance work.

The Groundskeeper keep grounds clean and orderly, maintain supplies and equipment in proper condition.

• This Position is limited term, 12 months, and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
• Various methods of appointments may be considered, unless specified in this advertisement. Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment.

Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing / evaluation thereafter.
