Cath Lab Technologist - (Cath Lab Tech)
StartDate : ASAP Available Shifts : 10 D Pay Rate : $2076.86 - $2392.91
Louisiana State Radiologic Technology (LSRT) required in Louisiana. Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) or Louisiana State Radiologic Technology (LSRT) license in the state of employment is required.
BLS required ARRT preferred ACLS. hour shifts 7 : 30-5 : 30 1 year of Cath Lab experience preferred Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
Bachelor's of Science Degree preferredOperates all cath lab equipment and digital processing equipment. Performs all cath lab duties such as scrub assistant, X-ray equipment operation and digital processing as indicated.
Contributes to the general operation of the department by picking up supplies, stocking supplies, and keeping the work area orderly.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development to perform procedures on and assist in the care of the adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
A current state issued Radiology Technology license will be required for these individuals prior to employment. Specialization can be obtained in any of the following modalities with training and active participation in all of the following modalities : Diagnostic Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Angiography, Permanent Pacemaker Implantation, Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator Implantation.
Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Assures the quality and acquisition of Cardiac Cath digital images.
Positions the cath lab table and sets angles. Assists physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing the equipment, catheters, and medications, and ensuring everything is sterile.
Monitors patients' vital signs and hemodynamic data by keeping a close eye on patients' heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs during procedures.
Operates imaging equipment using fluoroscopy machines and other imaging devices to capture clear images of the heart and blood vessels.
Maintains a sterile environment and prepares the catheterization suite. Ensures a safe and sanitary environment for procedures.
Educate patients about catheterization procedures by explaining the procedure to patients beforehand and answering any questions they have. Other duties as assigned.
