CNC Operator- 1st Shift

Design West Technologies Inc. of Tustin, CA has an immediate need for a full-time CNC Operator . Y ou will operate computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to produce aluminum parts of simple to high complexity with high accuracy and adherence to quality standards .

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CNC OPERATOR AT DWT

You will ensure company procedures and "best machine practices" are in place at all times, c heck for machine readiness to ensure functionality & performance, complete general maintenance as needed, including removal / replacement of worn tooling, o perate a variety of CNC machines, load & unload materials from machines, v erify quantity & conformance of finished work order to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, u pkeep deburr area, e nsure an accurate router accompanies all work orders and assist machinists as needed.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, measuring tools and methods.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and effectively communicate with machinists and supervisor
• Ability to read and understand a variety of drawings, manuals, work instructions, tooling instructions, blueprints or work orders

PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB :

• Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
• Frequently required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities : close vision, depth perception, and adjust focus
