CNO Systems Engineer

Praxis is hiring Systems Engineers specializing in the design and delivery of innovative CNO solutions to address some of the Nation’s most important challenges.

The ideal candidate can interpret customer and stakeholder needs through collaboration and problem statements, develop candidate CONOPS, author architecture views and diagrams, develop requirements, identify dependencies, constraints, & assumptions, and author acceptance criteria and test plans, and coordinate and conduct various informal and formal test events.

Strong communication (oral and written), collaboration, & comfort leading small teams in agile / iterative delivery methodologies will enable success.

What you will be doing :

As a CNO Systems Engineer you will :

• Create and own the baseline of System Engineering artifacts (formal and informal) and ensure their accuracy, currency, and completeness.
• Author and maintain end-to-end CONOPS which are realistic, achievable, and mapped to explicit software development activities and products, both internal and external.
• Collaborate with team members, co-contractors / vendors, and customer stakeholders.

What you need :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the respective domain.
• Knowledge of Computer Security Principles, Operation System Internals, software development, and Software baseline configuration management.
• Ability to accurately document, analyze, prioritize and recommend candidate use cases based on expertise in the realm of possible of proposed CNO use cases.
• Familiarity with embedded software systems, and the enablers / constraints these systems provide vice traditional well-resourced IT systems.
• Ability to decompose design characteristics and schedule considerations into well scoped, finite, achievable software development tasks in a commercial tool (such as Jira).
• Skilled technical writer capable of creating and / or contributing to contractual required documents.
• Expertise in a commercial Systems Architecture diagramming tool (such as Cameo Enterprise Architect).

Clearance : Active TS / SCI is required to be considered for this role.
