Huntington Learning Center is the leader in supplemental education and has been serving students since 1977. Our mission is to give every student the best education possible.
Our Barrington, IL center is growing and is currently hiring part-time Certified Teachers to help students improve their academic skills.
We are here to help students who need extra support and students who need a more challenging supplemental curriculum.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver instruction of pre-planned lessons using our curriculum in groups ranging in size from 1 to 4 students.
- Communicate student progress clearly
- Provide administrative leaders with timely communication of any concerns related to student progress
- Establishing a developmentally appropriate, positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that is conducive to learning.
- Advancing positive interpersonal relationships with coworkers and students.
- Communicating proficiently with students.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in elementary school education.
- Valid state licensure.
- Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and methods
- Excellent people skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Availability to work extended hours on occasions.

Our teachers work with a small group of students ranging from 1 to 4 students.
