JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Experience :

  • The incumbent must have between two and four years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail in completing work tasks.
  • Strong organization, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Use of accounting principles to solve problems.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance, which will be sponsored and managed by

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 2-4 years of experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with manufacturing leadership team to ensure proper allocation of costs and % completion of projects. Review cost ledgers on a weekly / monthly basis and enter adjustments into the accounting system as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely cost transfer to main project jobs each month.
  • Maintain internal bill of material costing system that will be utilized in make vs buy analysis and costing of product.
  • Assist with material consumption process and review on a weekly / monthly basis to ensure consumption is aligned with project sites budget.

Engage the manufacturing leadership team and propose corrective action in the event of overconsumption.

  • Perform month-end financial adjustments and month-closing steps for all assigned projects and / or financial entity as applicable.
  • Assist with creation of shared service center month-end reporting. Work closely with manufacturing leadership team to ensure desired results.

Prepare and present financial results in site’s monthly financial review.

  • Assist manufacturing site leaders in preparation and presentation of effective monthly Key Project Reviews.
  • Engage with the manufacturing management team and assist manufacturing financial manager in developing the annual shared service center budgets and manpower forecasts for each product line, based on the current backlog of the company.
  • Work closely with manufacturing leadership team on creation and submission of site capital expenditure requests and follow through ensuring the team maintains the cost of the project to the approved budget.

Position location : Full Time on site at 's Manufacturing Facility in Ruther Glen, VA

Travel : This position will require travel to other project sites as needed.
