About The Position

Job Title : Speech Language Pathologist

Profession : Clinical Specialist

Hours per Shift : Up to 40

Experience : Minimum years of experience required

License : Licensed by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

Certifications : Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire

Must-Have :

• Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
• Knowledge of the normal development of speech, language, and hearing
• Ability to perform diagnostic tests for communication disorders and formulate treatment plans
• Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, co-workers, and clients
• Patience and ability to interact in an encouraging manner with clients

Description :

Under general supervision, will evaluate, diagnose, and recommend a treatment plan for communication disorders of speech and language.

Upon physician referral, performs evaluations of speech, hearing, and swallowing difficulties.

Makes a preliminary diagnosis and develops treatment plans.

Determines the need for individual or group therapy for each client.

Documents clients' progress.

Assists students in clinical rotations in meeting objectives.

Performs other duties as assigned.
