About The Position

Job Title : Echocardiography Technologist

Experience : 1+ years of experience in a clinical echocardiography setting strongly preferred

License : Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)

Certifications : Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred

Must-Have :

Completion of an accredited cardiac ultrasound / echocardiography program

Proficiency in performing echocardiograms and interpreting cardiac anatomy and function

Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care

Description :

The Echocardiography Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions.

Candidates should have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care and safety.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

Perform transthoracic and / or transesophageal echocardiograms (TTE / TEE) and stress echocardiography procedures according to established protocols.

Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and imaging software.

Obtain high-quality images and accurate measurements of cardiac structures and function.

Collaborate with cardiologists to provide preliminary findings and ensure timely interpretation of results.

Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the exam.

Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Ensure equipment is regularly cleaned, maintained, and functioning correctly; report issues promptly.

Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.

Participate in continuing education and training to maintain professional competency and certifications.
