The Role :

Research and Development (R&D) Tax Senior Managers work across a wide range of clients and industries. Senior Managers must possess deep technical knowledge and strong project management skills to effectively lead R&D Tax Credit engagements including those related to Section 174.

Senior Managers can expect to :

Oversee the daily operations of R&D Tax Credit and Section 174 engagements, including conducting technical interviews with subject matter experts, reviewing calculations, and assessing deliverables.

Provide technical guidance and training to team members.

Participate in business development activities, including preparing proposals for both prospective and current clients.

Communicate with clients, manage multiple project deadlines, and remain current on legislative changes.

Receive formal training, on the job training, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

The Requirements :

6+ years of experience managing R&D Tax Credit, Section 174, and Section 41 analyses;

Bachelor’s and / or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD);Accounting, Engineering, or related degree (preferred)

• Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA, JD);
• Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;

Proficient use of technology; and

Working knowledge of accounting methods, including UNICAP is a plus
