About this role

As an advisor, you will bring Gartner's research, best practices, and tools to life across a broad range of world class clients and with internal sales and marketing partners to effectively enable the growth of the Gartner for Sales Leader product.

It's the job of an advisor to increase client engagement and ensure each client is applying Gartner's resources to their work.

An advisor will ask insightful questions to diagnose the causes of client challenges and recommend the best course of action.

The Director, Advisor interfaces with senior Sales executives to support achievement of their most critical priorities. In addition to applying and packaging Gartner resources to meet client challenges, an advisor senses patterns among client needs to guide the research agenda.

As an advisor, you will also support revenue partners in commercial engagements and build, deliver internal sales enablement support.

What you'll do

  • Apply expansive knowledge of Gartner research to help resolve high-value business problems for clients through 1 : 1 and multi-client interactions and presentations
  • Engage senior-level executives by diagnosing needs, establishing credibility, conducting substantive content discussions, building relationships, , solving problems, and identifying relevant resources
  • Actively shape the direction of ongoing research and product creation projects; participate in and provide feedback on research deliverables
  • Develop and deliver the Gartner for Sales Leaders revenue enablement strategy, including :
  • Manage, adjust and deploy an effective commercial rhythm, APC plan and go-to-market packet creation, including effectively onboarding sales practice experts and guide them through the APC, GTM packet creation process
  • Determine best new assets or evaluation of existing assets in coordination with stakeholders to increase high-value client engagement
  • Meet regularly with enablement tiger team (critical stakeholder in sales, marketing and product organizations) to set, adjust and deliver on strategy
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across Team NCVI, within R&A and effectively manage up to senior leadership
  • Align R&A content plans to marketing plans and commercial motions
  • Proactively identify and recommend improvements to optimize and deliver improved results
  • Ensure alignment with EMEA and liaise on regional-specific needs
  • Use effective project management skills and frameworks to build, follow and deliver on specific projects / deliverables on time;

including when appropriate, using a RACI model

  • Keep senior leaders, team managers, and key initiative leaders in R&A actively informed an up-to speed on work impacting expert resourcing
  • Develop and deliver assets that increase diversity of high-value engagements (HVE). Triage, prioritize and develop ad-hoc enablement requests that align to practice goals that have highest commercial and HVE impact.
  • Manage, update and improve effectiveness of Inside Gartner sales research training page in collaboration with marketing partners
  • Sales enablement champion with central Gartner GBS sales enablement
  • Join and actively participate as R&A lead in commercial win rooms
  • Continuously learn and develop yourself

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of experience in related field or industry
  • Subject matter expertise in sales, sales strategy, commercial effectiveness and sales enablement
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 116,000 USD - 164,220 USD.

Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.

In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
