Field Engineer

FIELD ENGINEER

Primary Function :

Provides technical, quality control and administrative support to Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Managers.

Reports to the Project Manager or Deputy PM on job sites.

Location : Belle Chasse, Louisiana 70037

Activities and Responsibilities :

• Ensure that all TREVIICOS and OSHA safety regulations are followed and enforced.
• Ensure all work follows TREVIICOS Quality Control Manual, Approved Submittals and Work Plans.
• Perform field quality control tests.
• Prepare and manage quality control and production records.
• Review and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors.
• Run small work crews (technical tasks like water testing, load testing, etc.).
• Perform field surveys and resolve geometry issues.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work.
• Order materials, write purchase orders, and tracks inventory.
• Assist in preparation of change order documentation and claim analysis.
• Interface all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction, etc. in support of overall project schedule.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• 2 -3 years of prior construction site work experience.
• Moderate to High level of proficiency operating MS Word, Excel and Outlook and CAD.
• Converse effectively using both verbal and written communication.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines.
• Make decisions and assume accountability.
• Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
• Thorough and systematic, able to effectively manage time and compete deadlines.
• Able to work in a dynamic environment.
• Assess safety and risk.
