Role Overview :
We are looking for a property compliance specialist. This role will build a repository of local codes and regulations around rental properties and analyze how they apply to co-living.
You will also build a playbook for navigating these regulations and responding to any communication from cities and other regulators.
Responsibilities :
- Triage code violation notifications for analysis and resolution.
- Communicate with external counsel where necessary.
- Coordinate parties required to assist with the resolution.
- Assist in escalations.
- Submit invoices for violations and / or submit to clients if they're responsible for paying the invoice.
- Research code matters and disburse to correct parties.
- Research code / permit issues for properties.
- Review and process municipal searches.
Qualifications :
- Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience / combined education.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal real estate laws, customs, and practices.
- 2+ years’ experience in the real estate industry.
- Experience starting or working at a growing early-stage startup.
- Strong analytical skills be able to analyze what is and isn’t working and take action.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- City public relations / City relationship management.
