Job Description

As a Security Professional Utilities Access Control in Santa Clarita, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with visitors and staff to provide outstanding customer service. Your role will involve managing access points, responding to alarms, and utilizing technology such as computers or tablets. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal and local authorities as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
