Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Trauma Ortho PCU
Location : Temple, TX
Shift : 12-Hour Days, 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)
Shift Times : 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM
Hourly Rate : $32.00 - $53.00 per hour
Job Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ortho Trauma Progressive Care Unit. The RN will provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population, ranging from adult to geriatric patients, in a 35-bed monitored unit.
This position offers the opportunity to develop top-notch skills, particularly in tracheotomy care, while working with patients who have experienced a variety of orthopedic trauma conditions.
The RN will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, providing essential care and support to patients recovering from surgeries and trauma.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care for patients in the Ortho Trauma PCU
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Manage and maintain tracheotomy care, providing specialized support
- Adhere to hospital policies, regulations, and safety protocols to ensure patient safety
- Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, providing education and emotional support
- Contribute to a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and professional development
Requirements :
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in STATE
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS and / or PALS certifications may be required based on department needs
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Two (2) years of nursing experience, including experience in a nursing specialty
