Raindrop is an industry-leading agency focused on making Marketing People Love and building a people-first culture. We are looking for an experienced Executive Producer who is a talented mix of creative, strategic, and relational, in addition to being well-versed in the marketing space.

The Executive Producer at Raindrop will offer visionary leadership and guidance to both our clients and internal teams on our video and photo production projects.

In this role, you will oversee the management and direction of the creative and production teams, ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Leveraging production expertise, your leadership will involve creating scopes and custom budgets in collaboration with our sales team, as well as setting up our teams for success by optimizing resources, processes, and production systems across our service lines, which include video, photo, strategy, design, and social media content.

As a pivotal leader for both our agency and our clients, we seek a strong communicator, leader, and strategic visionary capable of elevating our productions to new heights.

Responsibilities

Client Leadership and Scope Creation

  • Collaborate closely with the New Business and Organic Growth departments (Sales), providing leadership and direction to nurture and steer client relationships.
  • Assist the Sales teams in creating custom scopes, high-level timelines, and budgets for clients, bringing strategic solutions to meet client goals, and setting up the Raindrop team to execute well on making Marketing People Love with project setup and resourcing plans.
  • Leading conversations with clients alongside Account Leadership and Organic Growth for scope changes or additional costs for production.

Production

  • Collaborate with producers, writers, directors, editors, and other production staff, including overseeing the Associate Director of Production and Casting Supervisor, to achieve project goals and maintain the highest standards of quality and creativity in all aspects of production, from script development to post-production.
  • Act as the key integrator for custom scopes, resourcing, and operations, working closely with the SVP of Service Delivery, VP of Growth, Director of Operations, finance, and production teams to create scopes, systems, and processes that enhance production expertise, manage budgets efficiently, and maximize project profitability.
  • Build and lead relationships with contractors, production vendors, and in-house teams to facilitate seamless collaboration, enhance team development, and solve more significant systematic challenges for both production and client projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies while vigorously pursuing new ways to scale the studio to new levels of innovation and contribute to overall agency and client profitability.
  • Be a knowledge of union contracts, including SAG and SAG-related needs.

Management & Production Leadership

  • Drive the growth and scalability of the production department by establishing goals, resource planning, and workflow implementation.
  • Partner with Agency Services for resource forecasting, utilizing utilization data to manage resources effectively.
  • Strategically lead our projects to be consistently within budget and margin.
  • Lead Production initiatives alongside the Director of Content while developing our agency producers by providing ongoing support as they lead teams, solve problems, and enhance processes.
  • Provide assistance and insight with respect to the creation of new products and services.

Financial Oversight & Operations

  • Work with the leadership team to manage overall production and department budgets.
  • Ensure financial efficiency and accountability in all production activities.
  • Partner with Operations to routinely audit our production budgets and scopes for various services.

Agency Leadership

  • Embody and promote Raindrop culture by leading with the agency's vision and values and serving as a strategic thought partner.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team, People & Culture Team, and other team members to develop and integrate culture initiatives into all aspects of the organization.
  • Seek and leverage opportunities to weave the essence of Raindrop culture into every interaction and process, reinforcing the agency's values as it grows.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience producing or executive producing at an advertising agency or production company
  • 3-5 years of people management of more than 2 people at once
  • Leadership experience to drive internal teams forward and build trust
  • Proven track record of managing video productions with budgets of $500K+ from concept to completion.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams and driving them towards success.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A passion for storytelling and creating impactful content.
  • San Diego based preferred, Southern California accepted - there will be a need to be in our San Diego studio several days a month at minimum.
