Flexjet is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilizing all machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, grinders, drills, presses, saws, hand tools, welding machines, etc.) completes work assignments from prints, sketches or verbal instructions
  • Measures products using variety of measuring equipment (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.)
  • Assists other machine shop employees in machining, fabricating, set up, painting, finishing, shipping and handling, clean up, and all other machine shop / office duties and housecleaning and shop maintenance
  • Completes all required machining logs / records
  • Supports all company policies and safety programs to include OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Interprets technical manuals, drawings and blueprints
  • Presents a clean and neat work area
  • Demonstrates professionalism and delivers satisfaction to the internal / external customer
  • Performs other related duties & responsibilities as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs
  • Possess proven inspection competencies
  • Proficient in shop math
  • Willingness to pursue further / higher education in machine shop related skills
  • Must possess the legal ability to work in the United States
  • Successful candidate will have the desire and willingness to be instructed and will show aptitude for learning and retaining instruction. Successful candidate will be highly motivated and work effectively under pressure and time constraints
  • Must have the ability to multi-task within a team environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and well organized; demonstrate excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude

    • WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee is rarely exposed to extreme weather conditions.

  • The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
