Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls; assess caller's needs and direct to appropriate personnel.
- Run errands to pick up and / or deliver items as needed.
- Works well in a team environment to ensure all customer merchandise is shipped securely and promptly, accurately processing orders.
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipping of orders and returns.
- Processing Purchase Orders and / or vendor payments.
- Work on special projects as assigned by leadership.
- Storing items in an orderly and accessible manner in the office.
- Examining and inspecting stock items for wear or defects, report any damage.
- Must work independently.
- Receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments.
- Assume responsibility for maintenance of office supplies.
- Responsibility of overlooking the organization of the office.
- Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
- As business needs arise, other tasks may become necessary.
Skills and qualifications :
- Communications and collaboration : An Office Manager must collaborate with other administrators and support personnel, and clients on a regular basis.
- Organizational skills : Organization and prioritization are the core elements of the Office Manager responsibilities. You must know how to keep yourself and others organized and how to determine which tasks are the most important in a given list.
- Writing : Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing are essential to an Office Manager.
- Must be computer savvy and a willingness to learn in-house programs and systems
- Operate efficiently with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Google Mail, Calendars and Docs.
- Systems in place : Brightpearl, Shopify, Square, Google Suite, UPS.
